Oh how I wish I was writing that we have broken ground and move in next week. :) Neither of those things have happened. I was hoping that we would have broken ground this week, but our permit paperwork was turned in a little later than I had hoped, so HOPEFULLY we'll be experiencing that next week.
We have been extra busy working on projects. We've started stripping our dining room table. It's a production for sure, but I know it'll be beautiful.
I also found these little gems. Three old ugly chandeliers that will find new life in the girls' bedrooms. Can't wait to get them painted.
We've also been venturing to Bryan's parents' on the weekends to go through the barn. I've found some really sweet things to put in my modern farmhouse. We'll head back up possibly next weekend to get some measurements of some of the pieces I'd like to use. Speaking of measurements... I have a new favorite website.
Urban Barn is a great site where you can type in the dimensions of a room, place structural items (doors/windows), and the dimensions of various pieces of furniture. You can then arrange the items to see if/how they'll fit in the rooms. To say I'm in addicted would be about accurate. You can then print off your designs. How easy will it be to just design the rooms, print it off, and then hang in each room so there are no questions as to what goes where? And I know I won't be bringing in furniture that I can't use. God I need a house. :)
